INJURY REPLACEMENT PICK:

Allow one end-of-draft replacement pick per team if, while the draft is underway, a manager loses a player to a confirmed season-ending injury. The replacement pick priority order will coordinate with the injured player's original draft position. Replacement picks must be identified within 24 hours following the conclusion of the draft.

(This is not a setting available in Yahoo; Commissioner Tools will be used to execute the replacement player transaction.)

Getting Started

Post by Mario LeMoose » Sat Mar 10, 2018 2:21 pm

Official draft start: Monday, March 12, 9:00 a.m. (Eastern)

• The draft will run without a time limit between picks for the first round, assuming no prolonged delays.
• After the first round, a time limit between picks may be imposed, if necessary, so that we do not fall behind pace.
• Managers with the first and last draft positions in each round will have a single clock, not double time, for their picks.
• The overnight pause will be midnight to 9:00 a.m. Eastern; this is a daily pause, i.e., also includes Saturday-Sunday.
• We will be drafting on weekends.
• The 2018 MLB season begins Thursday, March 29. We must complete our draft by Wednesday, March 28, to qualify for first-week scoring.

Add a secondary email address, if you have one, to your Draftime user account to ensure that draft notification messages are received. Make sure your primary email address on record with Draftime is a current one. Please do not post draft-related messages at Yahoo!; instead, use this forum. If you need to get a private message to me, use the "PM" feature here, as I rarely check my personal (rr.com) email account during work hours.

All draft picks are restricted to players in the current Yahoo! pool for our league at the time your turn occurs. Please remember that the Draftime player list is not customized by league or platform. If you have any questions regarding a player's eligibility, take a moment to check the Yahoo! player list for our league before you draft him. "Placeholders" are not allowed.

The "allow injured players from waivers or free agents to be added directly to IR" option is a Yahoo! post-draft feature. You will not be able to use it until after the draft is over and our league's season has begun.

Slacker penalty: Evil Commish reserves the authority to impose reduced clock time upon any manager who repeatedly misses his/her turn. Such an extreme measure should not be necessary, given the auto-pick options available in Draftime.

Remember what it's like to, unexpectedly, not be able to access your Yahoo! team(s)?

Don and I have been in touch by email.

Change waiver time: Good idea, bad idea?

Post by Mario LeMoose » Sun Mar 25, 2018 6:18 pm

The following information is posted on our league's home page at Yahoo. In addition, messages (fingers crossed here) were sent to managers using Yahoo league email.

Would you be in favor of, or opposed to, changing the number of days that a player is on waivers from *two* to *one*? Such a change would make undrafted players free agents a day sooner, and waiver pickups would clear a day earlier. The trade review period will remain two days.

Making a change at this stage will have no impact on the draft.

Response from a minimum of six managers is required. Poll closes at 9:00 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday, March 27.

Please post your preference on the league's message board at Yahoo:

Change to one day
Keep at two days
Doesn't matter to me

Thanks.
