I had Hanley #1 in my queue with Beltre right after, so either way Jeff :)

Not surprised Steve. The first 2 rounds and half of 3 varied very little with my initial rankings. I don't expect much to make it back to me on the even rounds with you, Claudio, and Brian picking right before me.

Heads up....Just got an email from Mark that he is unavailble until 2:30 PM ET for his next pick 6.07. I'll see if he can email me a queue.

Wrig, is that why you haven't picked? Or do you anticipate a delay, yourself?

No - not that it mattered but I woke up with a migraine early this morning and went back to bed until now. OK - start with the jokes about my headache and the reason for Utley pick...lol.

BTW, Mark was able to text me during a bathroom break to make his pick. He should be available for his next pick.

Interesting turn - had a list of 5 (including my eventual pick) and 4 were gone by the time it came back to me. Was especially eyeing Storen and/or Gordon - so nice going Jeff and Steve!

I'm glad some of these players that have been tormenting me to take have finally gone off the board - Crawford, Carl - McCann, Brian - and Jennings, Desmond. I almost took Jennings the past two rounds with the upside being great...just too much risk with these young guys and growing pains in the modern game.

I was hesitant to take Crawford, but I'm betting he can revert back to his old Tampa numbers this year. If not, LONG YEAR BABY!

Love Crawford there. All reports are he a workout freak, and when a guy like that is literally mad at himself from a past season he could be going into full on beast mode. His wrist is a bit of an issue, but you're not buying in for more than ten homers. It will be interesting to see where Valentine slots him into the lineup and if the greenlight is always on.

Guys, I'm stuck in classes from about 1 to 3:15 today and my notes are on my laptop. I'll pop it open and see if I'm on up on my break, but otherwise I might cause a slight delay depending on the speed of the afternoon or if Claudio yanks my pick.

Yup, he was tops on my queue when Wrigs took him too.

I was leaning on the side of staying away from Crawford in the earlier rounds but think he went off the board at the right slot for his value.

This draft is tough this year, in terms of our personal player rankings being very similar. We're in the 8th round and my queues are getting wiped. Even still, I do like my team, the problem is I like many other teams too.

@ Jeff - I definitely see a theme/draft strategy going with you after last year's debacle.
Berkman - scares me with age and no Pujols but I could not find a player I could justify taking over him @ 91.

Almost every team looks competitive at this stage and depending on injuries could end up having the best nucleus. I know what you guys are saying with the rankings as long as you are not going strictly off of Yahoo. I have no idea how they rank their players in some cases in that they are far off of actual ADP and other sites. It makes it interesting though because you have to wonder if a player who is actually a 12th rounder will go this round because some of us might be just looking at how Yahoo has them

If Berkman has a year anywhere close to last year you've got a steal. If he goes down 15%-20%, you're still OK at pick 91.

If you hadn't taken him there he would have taken by someone else at that point.

He was a steal last year when I picked him off waivers week one :D

Nice move on Cuddyer. I was hoping he would last another round or so. I love the position flexiblity he gives you, and the Coors field effect won't hurt either (even though it's not what it used to be).

If I hadn't picked up Zobrist, I would have take him as my 2B.

It is one of the great pleasures of fantasy drafting to beat a rival to a player. Once Castro was taken I knew I had to go for Cabrera. I expected he wouldn't make it to the next round. Thanks for the confirmation.

Homer Bailey?!?!?

Typo? Queue hijacked by 2008 baseball prospectus writers?

One pick a draft does not make, certainly. But I literally have 34 SP listed ahead of Bailey on my sheet.
